    EAST 79TH STREET APARTMENT
    New York, USA
KABC gutted, renovated, and redesigned an apartment on New York’s Upper East Side in a contemporary fashion with a classical European feel to reflect the owners eclectic taste. The kitchen has been redesigned with custom-built ivory wood/glass cabinets contrasted by a dark granite counter to visually open up a very narrow space.

The bathrooms have been redesigned to complement the existing turn-of-the-century tiling with marble floors, glass sliding doors, enhanced by painted wooden shutters. Selected fixtures by Philippe Starck enliven the small spaces.

The bedroom, den, and living rooms are designed in a traditional-modern style with colonial accents to reflect the owner’s interest in horseback riding. The hallway is conceived as a minimalist backdrop for the owner’s collection of sculptures.
