    METROPOLITAN DISTRICT - WAYFINDING
    Dubai, UAE
    The Wayfinding system designed for Metropolitan District builds the brand image in a 3D environmental form, effectively linking the MD amenities and attractions to the overall brand. The signage program helps visitors and residents to find their way around the district, making them feel safe and comfortable, and wayfinding kiosks inform visitors and residents about current and future events at The District. In addition, a distinguished graphic wayfinding system for the parking garage is recommended to ensure an enjoyable transition from the parking garage to the podium level.

    SIGNAGE FAMILY OVERVIEW
    The signage system is based on two levels of information: directional and interpretive. Colors, names, icons, and signage reinforce the district brand; and are organically aligned with the marketing and promotional materials.

    DISTRICT SIGN
    Color-coded bands linked to the district colors and activity icons make it easy for visitors to find their way to the various districts and attractions at The District.
    INTERPRETIVE SIGN
    A series of interlinked interpretive signs tell the story about The District, which is closely linked to the story of Dubai and its courageous leaders. These signs are frequently combined with the district signs and inform visitors about the meaning of a certain street name, the significance of a particular square, or a building.

    STREET SIGN
    All street signs are linked to The District brand and display the applicable sub-district color. The street sign, depending on the environmental condition, can either be freestanding or wall-mounted and is sometimes combined with other signs that point visitors to specific attractions.

    INTERACTIVE KIOSK WITH INTERACTIVE TOUCH SCREEN
    Visitors and residents have access to wayfinding kiosks with interactive touch screens kiosk that display current and future events at the District and the District Esplanade.
